Cool Summertime Pic

Today marks the first day of Summer here in the Northern hemisphere so I thought I'd post a cool picture of yummy strawberries. One of my favorite things about Summer are the fruits, especially strawberries and cold seedless watermelon all cut in cubes out of the fridge *drool* Anyway, as a special treat, the picture is FULL RESOLUTION that prints out on 4x6" perfectly, and also show how much better pictures look when they're printed and not resized for the blog. As they say in yearbooks, Have a nice Summer, stay cool! :D

One of UCI's Newest Alumni

I met up with my former research assistant Alex and her husband (both avid gamers) after the UCI commencements ceremony. She was looking quite lovely so I thought I'd share. Enyoy :)

Also, AC has posted a few pics of Howard's wedding on his flickr account - has a ton more but hasn't uploaded them yet. Click HERE to see them and check again in the coming days. Also, I've increased the archiving for every 20 posts since it was annoying to go back to older posts but the downside is the load times a bit longer for lower bandwidths...there's always a catch.

What a crazy party. Congrats to Susy for coming here barely speaking English roughly 7 years ago (placed in ESL classes) and now graduating UCI. Hopefully next Summer it'll be my turn :)

Sibling Portraits

The main purpose I was hired was to shoot Susy's sisters and brother (chef), who was in town for her graduation. They were really fun, trying different poses, like rolling around the grass trying to get the best shot. There are a ton more photos of the party I'll post soon, including some very cute kids. All I gotta say is El Salvadorians know how to party! Stay tuned :)

Preview of Susy's Graduation Party

It's super late but I wanted to post a quick preview of Susy's graduation party, which happened the day before the actual graduation, which I won't be attending. Anyway, it was madness but i managed to get some nice pictures. Here's a tiny preview - there were lots of kids, dancing, laughing and people just having a ball. More to come in the following days.

Sandy & Howard's Wedding @ Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach

What a cool cake huh? It was a lemon custard cake and actually really tasty.

Today was Sandy and Howard's big day! Their wedding was at the Hyatt Regency in Huntington Beach. I was so excited and nervous for them (I was a groomsman). The whole thing was glorious - very relaxed, classy, and a lot of fun - without a doubt the best wedding I've attended. I didn't know daytime weddings were this much fun. They were both just beautiful. Part of what made it so great was that one of my best friends was getting married. I'm so proud of him - it was like yesterday when we were living in the dorms together.

I was busy being in the pictures so I only brought my little Canon camera, which was good because everyone there had some massive professional camera gear! The Hyatt was such a great location, very similar to the Ritz Carlton in terms of luxury and view. Anyway, more photos to come when I steal some from AC and I'll post a link to the pro photographer when he posts the pics.

Sienna was so proud of her mom she finally broke out in smile! It's almost 2am and I was just going to do a couple of pictures for Susy's UCI commencement invite but I got carried away seeing how well the pictures turned out.

Ok What's Going on Here?!

I get a call the other day from (123) 456-7890 so I'm a little freaked out, especially in my line of research in cyber-security/crime. Normal people don't usually spoof their numbers so I don't answer it. I mean, people usually do this for threats or just generally up to no good (I busta your phone busta, busta! - The Big Hit). That person leaves a message so I'm even more weirded out. Turns out it's a computer crimes law enforcement contact of mine. Spy stuff. Cool. *whew*
